“The familiar atmosphere combined with professionality and competence in breeding with great horses for show jumping and dressage - this is unique", one breeder summarized the show. His enthusiasm was shared not only by the guests from all over the world in the sold out arena in Vechta, but also by thousands of viewers who watched the versatile programme via ClipMyHorse. The jumping and dressage sires from different bloodlines were partly presented with their families. Special attention was directed to the new stallions in the collection.

He closed the show, but probably was the most awaited youngster: the Hanoverian premium stallion Vivaldos by Vivaldi x Desperados x Brentano II delighted with his first appearance under saddle and showed his great strength of nerve that have no equal. He became very movtivated when more than one hundred helpers entered the arena with balloons and cheered him up. His dam, the state premium mare Doris Day, had become champion mare at the Herwart-von-der-Decken-show and Friedrich Jahncke-show as well as Hanoverian champion and Bundeschampion at Warendorf before she became a broodmare. The second new dressage stallion came dircetly from the Dutch KWPN licensing. Galantheo is sired by the double vice world Champion Governor x Rousseau x Flemmingh and moved impressively in hand.

Gerd Sosath was happy about the performances of the new jumpers, too. It was the first time they were shown under saddle. As only three-year-olds, they were presented in an age-appropriate dressage unit. The Oldenburg-International licensed Vigotendro by world Champion Vigo d'Arsouilles x Contendro I x Landadel was extraordinary casual, as was his stable neighbour Soundcheck by Stakkato Gold x Carthago x Cor de la Bryère. He became Hanoverian premium stallion and has a very successful dam: Z-Cigalle was the schoolmaster of Josef-Jonas Sprehe. They won international 1.40 m shows together.

Since his birth, Casino Rubin by Casino Grande x Quidam's Rubin x Quattro B is based in Lemwerder. He is supposed to follow on his fathers' footsteps. His sire Casino Grande and again his sire Casino Berlin are internationally successful with Hendrik Sosath and demonstrated their unlimited scope in a short course at Vechta.

The already 17-year-old Casiro and his younger colleagues Casalido, Ogano and Comme Prévu jumped the fences easily as they all known higher courses from international shows. Diamant de Plaisir was presented by Holger Wulschner. The nations cup rider travelled to Vechta to show off his new favourite. Via headset, he told the public about his first impressions. With a lot of charm, he also commented on the following rides of Casino Grande and his sire Casino Berlin.

The already show expierienced stallions Florenz, For Dance and Fürst Fabrice were age-appropriately shown by the dressage team. The four-year-old St. Patrick by Sezuan x St. Moritz convinced everyone with his huge movements and his calmness, while his stable neighbour Van Primero by Van Vivaldi x Stedinger impressed with his rideability in all three gaits.

To complete the presentation of the stallions, their families showed the secured backgrounds of the damlines. The daughters Cadora and Lady Cadora OLD displayed their talent in the course with the siblings Hendrik and Janne Sosath. Cador paraded in hand with his niece Lady Corlina.

For the first time, not only warmblood sires were presented at the stallion show, but also pony stallions. Danica Duen delighted the spectators with her two great sires, the stallion champion Neverland WE and the double Bundeschampion and German stallion champion Cosmo Royale. The young filly by Cosmo Royale, that was shown after him, won the hearts of the viewers instantly.

Breeders and everyone interested have the chance to watch the whole show at ClipMyHorse and soon on youtube.com. In early March, the DVD of the event will be available.

The next dates of the stallion station Gerd Sosath are already fixed: On Easter Saturday, the 20th of April, the traditional Open Day will take place at Lemwerder. The whole day, an exhibition about horses, riders, garden and hobbies is at the stud. Interesting lectures and demonstrations are for the older audience, meanwhile there will be pony riding for the children as well as many different kinds of animals to get to know. The eleventh Lemwerder foal championship will follow in the afternoon.
For the first time, the tournament from the 26th to the 30th of April is not only for young horses but also with jumping classes up to 1.40 m.
