Exciting sport, great atmosphere and lots of sunshine
Three days of exciting sport with a great atmosphere are behind us. We had the pleasure to welcome numerous riders from near and far to the big tournament last weekend.
On Friday, everyone enjoyed highly talented young show jumpers. "The quality was so outstanding that we always had a lot of fun watching and judging, despite the tight schedule," judge Anja Rietbrock summed up the day. On Saturday there were jumping classes M and S. The main jumping class, an S with a jump-off directly following, was won by the experienced rider Carsten-Otto Nagel. The World Champion and Derby winner always found Lemwerder a good place, he was victorious or placed in all S jumping competitions of the three shows. The even more successful rider-horse combination, however, was formed by Hendrik with Cadora. The two of them emerged as the winning pair, became GVO champions and received a high-quality beach chair as a special honorary prize.
The costume lead rein class was a highlight of the entire tournament. Nine children and their runners had beautifully dressed up in costumes and showed great rides with small ponies. On Saturday evening, the relay jumping, the "Lemwerder Champions League" provided fast-paced rides and the best atmosphere.
On Sunday we were happy about the Oldenburg young riders, who collected points for the youth championship and the talent promotion in jumping as well as in dressage. Quite enthusiastically, the judge Jens Thormählen expressed after the A-dressage: "I have never seen so many good rides in this class."
The spectators enjoyed the court day with tarte flambée and wine or coffee and cake. Meanwhile, the children could let off steam on the bouncy castle and the playground, play table soccer or try out the offerings at the crepes and ice cream stand.
A big thank you to all supporters, riders and helpers of this tournament!
