Vivaldi wins VHO Trophy again

02 02 2013

The VHO Trophy competition wrapped up an exciting evening of dressage replete with four-legged talents. After getting acquainted with the ring, each competitor had four minutes to showcase his or her stallion's talent in a freestyle test and persuade the audience to declare their KWPN stallion the best of the group. Through a show of applause, the audience was tasked with deeming one of the following combinations the winner: ZiZi Top under Hans Peter Minderhoud, Valdez with Kirsten Beckers, Westenwind under Tom Franckx, Universeel with Bart Bax, Velazquez under Jessica Buying, Wonderboy with Philip van Ommen, Tuschinski under Kirsten Brouwer, Vivaldo with Mirelle van Kemenade-Witlox, Winningmood under Diederik van Silfhout, Apache with Emmelie Scholtens, Vivaldi under Hans Peter Minderhoud, or Westpoint with Kirsten Beckers. At the end of the competition, the audience rewarded all the combinations with heartfelt applause. However, they left no doubt that last year's winner Vivaldi deserved to be this year's winner too. Dancing in the ring to the beat of Gangnam Style, Vivaldi's every stride was stunning. As the enthusiastic audience cheered wildly, the stallion and Minderhoud were awarded the VHO Trophy to take home this year again.
